Our baby is one!

Our baby boy turned one this weekend. Words can't explain how much happiness Beck has brought us. I'm sorry but I seriously do feel like I got the greatest child that has ever been created. I love everything about him. He is without a doubt the cutest little guy I have ever laid eyes on and I really don't think that I think that just because I'm his mom. I love his curiosity and his energy, I love that he his the biggest show-off on the planet and will do anything to make sure he is the center of attention at all times, I love that he is ticklish, I love when he snuggles his face into his blanky, I love when he does his fake little laugh whenever me and Dane both laugh, oh gosh the list could go on and on there is too much to love.

We gave him the present from my mom and dad the morning of his birthday, he had seen it a couple times in the closet and was ticked when I shut the door so we knew he would love it, and he has loved it except for he wants to tear off all the parts that are attached to the top of it so that he can eat them.

How cute does he look in this studly little outfit that he got from our friends Rich and Brityn!? Our friends were really generous and got him some sweet toys that me and him have both loved because now that there are more things to entertain him he has spent less time emptying out every drawer in our house and throwing the contents all over the ground after sucking on them. Beck had himself 2 birthday parties going at the same time. While we were doing our little party my mom and dad threw a party of their own for him back in Utah, he just didn't get to go to that one. My mom, dad, little brother, grandma and grandpa all got together and went out to eat and then went back to my parents for cake and icecream and my mom bought herself a highchair for when grandkids visit that she wrapped up and gave to herself hahaha! I called them on speaker so they could sing happy birthday along with us.

He LOVED when we were singing happy birthday to him, his expression was a mixture of complete shock and pure happiness that everyone in the room was not only staring at him but also singing to him. I had been looking forward to the cake moment from the day he was born, he wasn't shy digging in, the entire time over and over he would take a bite and then look up to see if everyone was still watching him and then he would giggle and take another bite. He didn't make it very far he was done as soon as he finished the frosting. For his cake I just made him a giant chocolate cupcake and I made us an eggnog/caramel cake which I thought was pretty good, he wanted some of mine as soon as he was done with his.

I am so grateful to have been blessed with Beck being our little boy, nothing makes me happier than spending every day with him, and I'm so glad that we get him for all eternity. WE LOVE YOU BECK!!!!

Disneyworld!

Thanksgiving was a little bit different this year, instead of spending the day with all of our family and having a big dinner with turkey and sweet potatoes we spent the day with Mickey Mouse and had a big dinner of french toast and eggs. I missed seeing all of the family but I'm definitely not complaining we got to meet up with Myrna and Doug and spend 5 WONDERFUL days together at Disneyworld.

We spent practically every waking moment at Disneyworld, we flew into Orlando thursday morning and drove straight to epcot and we left from the Magic Kingdom Monday night and drove straight to the airport. Dane was a little frustrated one of the days because we didn't leave the hotel until 10 am which meant we had already lost one full hour that could have been spent riding rides.
Here's a picture of Dane and Myrna - Dane is such a momma's boy it's so cute to see how much he loves her (lets get real though it's not like it's hard to love Myrna!) As hard as this might be to believe Dane was even more excited to see his mom than to go to Disneyland.

Me and Doug had a tough time keeping up with Dane and Myrna the whole time, I don't think either one of us realized when we married into the family that it requires AT LEAST 2 trips to Disneyland/world a year if you really want to be a member of the family.

We went to Epcot the first day, Animal Kingdom the second day, Hollywood Studios the third, and the Magic Kingdom the last two days because it's the best. And Myrna booked an incredible hotel/condo for us to stay in, it overlooked a lake with fountains in it and you could watch the fireworks from the balcony, it was fun just to hang out in the hotel and have dinner together and go to the hot tub.

I think the highlight for Beck was the constant flow of icecream, churros, and sprite given to him by his grandparents. I don't think he minded the constant attention from 4 adults either, he put on quite a show to entertain all of us the whole trip. We bought him some Mickey Ears with his name on the back and everything but it took all 4 of us just to get them on his head so we could take one picture of it. And I don't even want to talk about the fact that we took the stroller with us everyday and used it for maybe an hour each day just while he napped in it. He wanted to be carried and so of course we carried him all day everyday!

Hollywood studios has the most AMAZING Christmas light display I have ever seen. They have almost every inch of every building on one street covered in lights and the lights "dance" with the Christmas music that they play while they blow fake snow from the top of all the buildings.
