4 years!!

Me and Dane had our 4 year anniversary yesterday, and it's been a great 4 years!! I could write a novel on the millions of things that I love about Dane but I'm afraid I'd get too mushy so I'll tell him myself. Instead I'm going to write a novel on how we met:

After highschool me and my best friend Tessa went down to Snow College (one of the best times of my life!!) While most people spend most of their college careers in the library, me and Tessa spent most of ours at the hot tub at our apartment. So one night we suited up for our usual activities and went out to the hot tub and I spotted the most beautiful man I have ever seen!! I didn't think that a person that good looking could exist! (too mushy?) So I tried every trick I knew to get his attention and I feel like a total idiot admitting that that stuck-up little brat didn't give me the time of day...but his roomate did, and I wasn't going to pass up attention from a member of the Snow College football team! (yes, I have always been impressed by titles) plus, I had an in!! So we went on a few dates, and then one night he invited me and Tessa over to watch a movie with some of his roomates so I show up with my fingers crossed, and sure enough there's Dane...so I casually sat down next to Dane on the couch and then his roomate came and sat on the other side of me and brought a blanket along and began to cuddle, somehow by the end of the night the blanket had shifted from me and his roomate to me and Dane...wierd. We talked through the whole movie and finally the roomie left us alone and went to bed and me and Dane talked some more and the rest is history. We had a fun and interesting dating life but that would REALLY be a long story if I started into that. And 8 months later we were married!

As a side note, as far as Dane's memory goes movie night was the first night we met...he doesn't even remember the night that I fell in love at first sight with him!! A couple of times he has tried to lie to me and claim that he remembers but the fact that he can't tell me ANYTHING about that night kind of gives him away.

Washington DC

Beck is becoming a world traveler. He's already been from one side of the country to the other... it only took me till I was 22 to accomplish that. We just got back from Washington DC with Myrna and Doug and had an awesome time!

We went out last September with my parents so we figured we would probably do a lot of the same things but this was a completely different vacation the only thing we did again was Arlington cemetery which is worth going to twice anyway. This time we did Ford's theater, Gettysburg, Museum of American History, and a twilight tour of all the monuments.

The first two days Doug had meetings so me and Dane went and found ourselve an apartment in Virginia for when we move out there this summer. We didn't know if we would be able to find one that quick but we met some super nice people at the airport from Manti who's son-in-law goes the the same school that Dane is going to so they gave us their daugther's number and we called her and she was also really nice and let us come check out her apartment. While we were outside her place we met even more people from Utah that were hanging around outside and even some missionaries and they all lived in this same complex so we were REALLY excited.
They told us one other place to look and we weren't even going to bother because we loved all the people at the first apartments so much, but we decided to check them out anyway and as soon as I saw them from the outside I fell in love!! They are just little townhouse apartments but I love them! And once again we were just riding around the parking lot checking out houses and saw a guy in scrubs so we stopped to ask a few questions about the apartments and he ended up being from Utah too and totally just let us invade his house and look around their place too!! And while we were there we looked out their back yard and there were yet another pair of missionaries walking through the yard. I thought I would be a little out of my element in Virginia...apparently not!! We loved both places and loved the people we met at both places, so we signed up for an apartment at the second place and I can't wait to live there!

So don't know if you know Dane's step-dad Doug but that guy LOVES sheep!! haha So the last day we were trying to decide what we still wanted to see before we left and Doug comes into the Hotel room that morning, in a very good mood because he had very good news....there was a sheep festival only miles away in Maryland! haha So after getting totally lost in Maryland we finally found the sheep festival and I think Doug was in heaven, there was sheep, wool, and cooked lamb everywhere. I love how he loves his sheep haha. My favorite part was actually the getting lost in Maryland part, we drove through some of the cutest towns I have ever seen!

Happy Easter!

We had such a good easter! Easter Morning I woke up to an egg laying in front of my alarm clock with a number 1 on it so I opened it and there was a clue inside that started me off onto a very exciting egg hunt!

#1) Hooray Hooray the hunt begins your first clue hides near the muffin tins
#2) Your one step closer to your tasty treat but are you sure you can stand the heat? (heater)

#3)So far so good your on the right track but the next clue is hidden in a crack (I know what you may be thinking but no, it was behind the bed)

#4)best be quiet if Beck asleep but the next clue sits with a friend of Little Bo Peeps (Beck has a stuffed lamb in his crib)

#5)try and keep up with all my tricks the next clue hides with all the flicks (I have a great collection of chick flicks)

#6)I hope the hunt doesn't make you bounce of the walls but the next clue lies with fuzzy balls (I have a bowl full of decorative balls on the kitchen table)

#7) you could go east, west, south, or north but this next clue only moves back and forth (Beck's swing)

#8)your almost there don't you quit, this clue glows bright when it's lit (lamp)

#9)this is an easter that won't be forgotten and unlike others like it this clue wont go rotten (in the egg holder in the fridge)

#10)sorry this is the last clue your gonna get, you'll love your present as long as it's not all wet (it was in our bedroom closet which flooded a couple of months ago)

And this is what I found in the closet! Hahaha is Dane not the funnest husband ever!?! He didn't come to bed until 3:30 the night before because he was up trying to think up 10 clever rhyming clues. The case of diet coke that I got him looked pretty lame compared to what he did for me haha

The Easter Bunny only visited me at our house, but we were pumped when we found out the bunny left Beck a killer basket at my mom and dad's house!

Other than the adorable stuffed duck everything in Beck's basket was blue...it looked SO CUTE!!

This was the easter feast my mom had waiting for us...once again how cute does that look!?! I loved the easter colored rolls and it took me forever to decide out of all the cupcakes which color of frosting I wanted because they all looked so cute!

After dinner we had another easter egg hunt in my mom and dad's basement for me, Dane, Brandon, and Dayne. All I'm going to say is that it was the best egg hunt I have EVER done, even though though boys all found their eggs 10 min before I did so then I had my second personal Easter Egg hunt for the day.
Beck was trying to eat the entire Easter basket whenever we would put it next to him so the picture above is what he would when we put the basket next to him and the picture below is the picture we finally got after 10 minutes of taking non-stop pictures waiting for him to look at us.

Disneyland...take 7

Last weekend we went down to San Diego and had the best weekend hanging out with Shelby and Trevor! Shelby had to work saturday so Trevor took us to a place that looks over all of San Diego which was sweet and then we went to the beach.

We put Beck's feet in the water and he did not appreciate it, after the first time he felt the water he refused to put his feet down again, we would go to set him down on the ground and he would curl his legs up to his chest...so stinkin cute!Dane and Trevor are hilarious together cause Dane is the most competitive person in the world and Trevor his probably his biggest all-around competitor (aside from me...I whoop him at everything we do). We can't figure out if Trevor is just the bomb at every game we play or if he is the best cheater of all time but Dane loves a good competition and Trevor gives it to him every time!
No weekend would be complete without a visit to Chili's or Macaroni Grill (remember me mentioning it's one of Dane's obsessions) and since we were on vacation we went to Chili's the first night and Macaroni Grill the second...haha big surprize huh!

When we realized that Beck was 4 months old and had still never been to Disneyland we knew that we couldn't wait any longer...we made sure that we got video footage of his grand entrance through the gates of Disneyland...in a Church baby's life this occassion is just as important as graduation and marriage.

I thought Disneyland would be a lot more inconvient with a baby but it was a lot better than last time we went when I was prego because this time I didn't miss out on some of the best rides like Tower of Terror!
Of course one of the boys top favorites was the Buzz Lightyear ride where you see who can hit more targets...competition! And yes, Trevor kicked Daner's butt!
When you go to Disneyland they give you pins if you are there for a special occassion so Beck got a 1st visit pin that he wore and I got a b-day pin which I was pumped about!I had SO much fun with Shelby while we were there it stunk to have to leave so soon...I thought about just quitting my job early and moving in! We left on my b-day and she stayed up literally all night the night before my b-day and decorated the house and made my favorite kind of cake for me to wake up to...do sisters get better than this!?! Not to mention the multiple gifts wrapped on the table, including a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie! Not only did she make my b-day awesome she also totally hooked Dane up cause then he didn't have to worry about what to do for me haha. Anyways we had an awesome weekend and we LOVE hanging out with those two...we'd probably even still visit them if they didn't live an hour away from paradise

Blessing Day

>

We blessed Beck on March 1st and the best part was was that he did not end up wearing a white undershirt! I went shopping with my friend Ashley and we found a cute white polo and white pants which was a huge relief! For some reason the whole blessing bid really stressed me out but lucky for me I have a great mom, mother-in-law, husband, and grandma who pretty much took care of everything for me! We did homemade Cafe Rio salads and I was worried we wouldn't have enough food, but I was also worried that nobody would show up. I probably should have planned something a little more simple for the dinner but in the end everything was perfect which I can't take any credit for. We didn't invited a ton of people so if you weren't invited no need to be offended (and if you were invited consider yourself lucky!). But I was grateful for and excited to see Dane's family that came down and for all of our friends who came! Of course Dane gave him a beautiful blessing and Beck only let out a few snorts during the blessing when his bink fell out...FYI, Dane has given Beck the lovely nickname of "pig" because when he cries or eats he snorts, I love the snorting but not so much the nickname. But anyways in the end it ended up being a perfect day!! Except we did miss Shelby & Trevor, and we wished that Dane's brother and sister and their families lived closer so that they could be here for all these little special occasions too! (Ashley A. and Nicole R. I missed you guys too!!)

Just a few pics

Gosh he's cute isn't he. I had to go back to work last week and it was so hard to leave him!! I missed the girls I work with like crazy so I was excited to be with them again but I'd rather just hang out with them outside of work and sit home with Beck all day. It's so nice to get home after a long day of work and see how excited the babe is to see me though...jk - but even though he doesn't show it I know he does See this pic of the white onesie? This is what Dane wants to dress Beck in for his blessing (no offense for anyone that has done this, believe me I can relate to starving student phase) but personally this little number isn't my number one choice...so wish me and Beck luck for his blessing day please cause Dane is not joking. Hahaha Dane kills me

I love my boys!

Shocking that this little boy is almost 2 months old! I really wish that I could freeze time right now cause I love it!! I think the only complaint I can think of is I wish he would not only sleep at night but sleep in his cradle. He will only sleep with me or in his car seat and every night I tell myself that I will not let him do it again but by 2 a.m. I don't care anymore I let him do whatever he wants!

We know that the reason he likes to sleep with me is because he hasn't learned what it is like to be put down yet. He is constantly being held by somebody and it is usually me, I just can't put him down! If there is any way I can find a way to do a chore while holding a baby, I do it with him in my arms!!

Anyone who knows Dane will not be at all surprized that this was how Dane spent his Christmas break...is my husband not tons of fun?? Beck is going to be one lucky boy, I think it's a common thing for little boys to want their dad's to play with them but I think that Dane is going to be the one doing the begging for Beck to play with him. Again, if you know Dane you already know this but let me remind you of some of the things that Dane lives for (I'm making another list). 1 - Fireworks on the 4th of July - if I would let him he would spend every dollar we have at the fireworks stand, and to see the joy it brings him to watch them it might be worth it one of these times 2 - Carving pumpkins at Halloween - he could carve pumpkins for days and usually just to carve one takes him days because he won't stop until it is perfect, but I will say that his hard work always pays off and his pumpkin always turns out to be incredible! 3 - building snowmen -which get bigger and better every year, the one above got many compliments from all of my parent's neighbors. 4 - Decorating cookies - we decorated sugar cookies at Christmas time and once again Dane's cookies put the rest of ours to shame, who cares if he only frosted one in the time the rest of us had done like 10. 5 - Chili's - one of Dane's newest passions in life, whenever we go out with friends no matter where we decide to eat Dane makes sure that we all know that Chili's is an option, and when we do go to Chili's he gives us many recommendations of what to get. 6 - DISNEYLAND! - I don't even know where to begin when I talk about Dane's love of Disneyland words cannot express the love that this man has for Disneyland...no matter what our financial situation is, he always has money set aside for a trip to Disneyland. He really is so much fun to be married to!
