My mom and dad gave Quinn this car for her birthday and she LOVES it - she gets so excited when we go for a walk with it that she spends half the time bouncing up and down giggling.  I know - these pictures don't really capture her excitement 

Coloring

Beck has been obsessed with coloring lately he has gone through like 12 coloring books front to back in a month.   It's nice for me because I always try to use the time during Quinn's second nap to have some good one-on-one time with Beck and apparently I like coloring more than I thought because sometimes even after he is bored of it I keep going

I don't think I like that Beck is old enough to go to preschool!! This feels like the beginning of the end to me now that he's in preschool I feel like highschool graduation is right around the corner haha. It's only a couple hours a couple days a week and half of the class is kids from our ward which is nice for him. It's just like sunbeams though I can't leave him until Lily gets there and then he's ok haha

We had a wonderful Easter! Saturday we had our annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt/brunch which I didn't get one picture of but its always a highlight there are always TONS of people. Then we met Brian and Danielle at Maymont and walked through the gardens. Sunday before church Dane woke us all up to do the egg hunt that he - or should I say the Easter Bunny left for us to find our baskets. After church we went to Paige and Kurt's for an awesome bbq, awesome egg hunt, and awesome company. Plus we did a new thing we had never done - an egg roll where we all chose a colored boiled egg and in groups of 2 rolled them at eachother and whoever's cracked was the looser.

I have to write down the clues Dane wrote for our morning egg hunt he always waits to go to the store and make up the clues until about 11 pm the night before Easter...he is one talented guy hahaha I love Dane's love for holidays he's just as fun as the kids

California/Disneyland

2 days after the wedding we all packed up and headed to CALIFORNIA to stay with Shelby and Trevor. The kids did really good during the drive which was a relief after the nightmare I lived through getting to Utah...which I will write about so I never forget this story...even though believe me pretty sure even without writing about it I would never forget it

Our flight from Virginia to Utah: I was flying out of DC and right before we left the house for the airport I told Dane I forgot to check which airport in DC I was flying out of, he told me he would just look it up on his phone and we were on our way...we made it to Dulles and by the time we had both kids, 2 carseats, and 4 bags out of the car and in the airport I was kind of panicing because we only had 45 min and I had a lot of things to check in and it takes a long time to get me and 2 kids through security. So I am in a hurry trying to find Frontier Airlines and can't find it and then we realize... WE WERE AT THE WRONG AIRPORT!!! I am choosing to not go more into detail about who's fault this was. So we book it back to the car and plug Reagan Airport into the GPS and it is 45 MINUTES AWAY!!! By this time we have less than 45 min until our plane is supposed to take off...not board TAKE OFF. So I won't mention how fast Dane drives to try to get there while on the phone with Frontier asking what our options are if we miss the flight. After risking all of our lives driving like a maniac by some miracle we make it with 10 min to spare before the plane takes off but once again remember I have a bag and car seats to check and have to get through security and there is nowhere for Dane to park so he had no choice but to leave me curbside with 2 kids, 4 bags, and a carseat. I run to the desk and tell them when my flight leaves and the lady at Frontier does a few quick things to check my bags and then walks around the desk and picks Beck up and yells RUN!! Hahaha so me and her are running to security her carrying Beck, me carrying Quinn and 3 bags!! She showed the airport workers her employee tag and they let us go in the front of the line through security and everything goes through smoothly and we made it on our flight!!!! hahahaha modern day miracle!!!! I was on such a high from making the flight that nothing could get me down...until Quinn screamed her guts out on the flight for I don't even know how long which caused me to get so frustrated after awhile that then I started to cry!!! It was awful and I'm sure the lady sitting next to us thought I was absolutely crazy...but I was. Anyways we made it to Utah and thats all that matters. And I can't say enough good things about Frontier Airline's and their amazing employees and Reagan Airport haha

ANYWAYS..............

The first day we got to California we hung out around Shelby's house and did some shopping and went to the park.

Then it was time for DISNEYLAND!!!!!!! Here's Beck and Quinn ready to go...Beck is definitely his father's son - he had his map out figuring out where he wanted to go first before we even got in the park

We walked through Mickey's house and Beck kept talking about wanting to see Mickey and me and my mom kept telling him that he wasn't going to be home but right as we were about to leave guess who showed up!?

I've said it before but there are no words to describe Disneyland better than "THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!" The only thing that could have made our 2 days at Disney any better would be if Dane could have been there with us. It broke his heart that he couldn't take time away from school to come to the wedding or Disneyland with us...but mostly Disneyland. We definitely thought of him the whole time and missed him like crazy.

And then the last day we had in Califonia was my birthday, this is the second time I have forced Shelby and Trevor to throw me a birthday party by visiting them on my birthday and believe me they came through for me. Shelby made us all breakfast, then we drove through Beverly Hills, I LOVE just driving around looking at beautiful homes and it's even better when we drive past the homes that were owned by people like Walt Disney, Michael Jackson, and Sonny and Cher. Then Shel and Trevor said they had a big surprise for me and a huge awesome surprise it was, we pulled up to Universal Studios and they had arranged for us to do indoor skydiving....it was SOOOO FUN!!!! I didn't get any pictures of us actually doing it to put on here but I have a sweet DVD of it then we all went out to eat.

We didn't want to forget about our 2 Da(y)nes at the wedding, my mom got this cutout of Dayne and then for my Dane she got a shirtless cardboard cutout of fabio holding a chain and put Dane's face on it...I'm pretty sure Dane LOVED being depicted by fabio

The wedding luncheon at the Joseph Smith memorial - I don't want to even talk about how my simple tribute to Brandon turned into a complete sob-fest...I guess you wouldn't call it a sob-fest if I was the only one crying

My big brother just got married to the girl of our dreams, jk, but I do love Irene and obviously he does too! I am so excited for them they are perfect together and I think they both totally scored. Brandon is THE BEST brother and I'm so excited to have Irene as my new sister!
