Walking around DC with my favorite people seeing the monuments and the beautiful cherry blossoms...and ending it all with some Cafe Rio.



Yorktown Beach

We are trying to do all of our favorite things in Virginia before this baby gets here and before we move so last week we headed to Yorktown.  It was too cold to get in the water but the weather was perfect for a picnic and walk on the beach.  Then yesterday we ended up going to Williamsburg for a dermatology appointment (Dane is always paranoid he has skin cancer) so we decided to go to the beach again and this time it was warm enough to let the kids play in the water...how smart are we...we go to the dermatologist to make sure we don't have skin cancer and then spend the rest of the day laying in the sun at the beach haha



Work It Beck

 

Thanks to Dane I had one of the best birthdays ever this year.

The night before my birthday he came up with the idea to do manicures and pedicures for me and Quinn - he chose the colors and everything!  He even brought me out a plate of donuts and turned on my favorite movie for me to watch while he did my nails...it was AWESOME!!

Then on my birthday he came down and told me he hadn't gotten me anything but I could go shopping later...which is usually how it goes haha but then a couple minutes later he came in the room with a beautifully wrapped present ... which ended up being a NEW CAMERA!!

I shed a few tears I was so excited about it.  Now I just have to figure out how to work it.

 



Easter

 

 

Easter was so fun this year we did our Easter lunch, our neighborhood easter egg hunt/breakfast, colored our eggs, had an egg roll (a new tradition our friends introduced us to last year), and the kids woke up to an egg hunt to find their baskets.  Holidays are so fun with when you have little kids - and Dane who gets just as excited as they do.
