Last week we took our last vacation as a childless couple to Washington DC. Dane had an interview at a school in Virginia so we called my parents to come along and made a vacation out of it. I LOVED it out there its SO PRETTY! It's a good thing that we have our Utah mountains because Virginia's forest lined roads made Utah look gross. 
We saw all of the major highlights in DC Lincoln, Jefferson, Capital, White House, Smithsonian, Mt Vernon and a lot of other things of course but I think that all 4 of us were most impressed by the Arlington Cemetery it was unbelievable, one of the coolest parts was the tomb of the unknown soldiers where you see the guards that guard the tomb 24 hours a day.
We also went to see the temple and it is my new favorite one...it felt so wierd, we just turned of a little road and it looked like we were driving up the canyon and all the sudden the temple pops up, it was SO PRETTY!
The last day we drove out to take Dane to his interview and that place was not quite as impressive as the rest of the vacation had been...I was worried to let him out of the car unarmed and I made a special effort to not make eye contact with anybody all morning because it was in the SCARY part of town, good thing I have a tough husband because if it was me I would have called a cop to escort me from my car to the building. Anyways it was an awesome trip and we had tons of fun together, we were glad my mom and dad came with us...not just so we had somebody to take our picture - we always have a ton of fun together!

Oh I didn't know you could get any bigger Jess!!! COngrats,.. you VERY obviously did!! Looks like a fun trip,.. I don't think you have to worry about anyone attacking you,.. they usually steer clear of the REALLY ugly. Dane didn't really have and "interview" he was probably just going to hang out with his version of "Tessa" Just an idea! When are are you going to carry your big ole' ghetto booty over here to hang out with me!? Freaking gina! WE need to start decorating and dressing a baby,.. he can wear headbands and bracelets!

oh I went to DC in May and loved it too. I had never been out east and the trees are just incredible. Isn't the temple absolutely majestic??? It's like straight out of a fairy tale I swear. I'm glad you got to go on one more fun vacation before the baby comes...you have the cutest pregnant belly ever!
