Quinn and her buddy Asher - only 5 days apart can you believe it!?

Love this girl!

One of my biggest fears before we had Quinn was that Beck would have some major jealousy issues, but it's been 2 weeks and I have yet to see even a hint of jealousy from him, he is so in love with her and it melts my heart how cute he is with his little sis!

We are all completely smitten by this baby girl. I just want to hold her and snuggle her all day. She has been an awesome baby so far, she sleeps really well and just wakes up a couple times at night to eat but then goes straight back to sleep...I'm really crossing my fingers that this lasts.

I think that she looks a lot like Dane but a really really pretty girl version of him. We didnt think she looked anythink like Beck did the first couple days after she was born but now we are thinking they look a little more alike.

Beck can't pass by her without stopping to kiss her and hold her hand, we are working hard at keeping him from attacking her face with kisses, so he pulls down her headband so he can get the top of her head

And a huge thankyou to my parents for flying out to help us the first week. We are definitely missing not just their help but also their company this week. While they were here I started thinking that having 2 kids was going to be a breeze, and then it hit me that I hadn't been cooking, cleaning, getting my kids ready for the day, entertaining Beck, putting my kids to bed, or changing even half the diapers cause they were doing it all while I sat on the couch doing nothing but enjoying my baby girl!!

Quinn Shelby Church

Uh oh he's already reverting back to being a baby and the baby isn't even here yet! But then 10 minutes later he's walking around the house in Dane's shoes thinking he owns the place so maybe he's just trying to figure out which role he wants to play.

P.S. I can't not mention how DARLING that purple blanket is that my friend Alyson made for me for the new baby...I hope Beck will give it up though!

Winter Ball

I cannot begin to say how much I absolutely LOVE the winter ball!!

When else do you have an excuse as an adult to get all dressed up and go dance (and eat) your heart out all night with all your best friends, and the most smokin hot date ever!?!
Winter ball is kind of like highschool prom only 20 million times cooler...and I'm happy to say I wasn't 9 months pregnant at prom unlike this year at the ball. I felt a little out of place waddling around all night in the only dress I own that will fit over my massive belly. I was not about to go spend money on a fancy dress that I will hopefully never be able to fit into again.

Even though the pictures don't show it I did in fact hang out with Dane some of the night, but for the most part the boys were busy doing some serious gambling while we all went to dance. I think Dane felt torn because the boy loves to gamble but he's also quite the dancer.

I thought he put me to shame on the dance floor last year...imagine my embarrassment this year!! I was actually really grateful to be able to blame my totally awkward uncoordinated dancing on being pregnant this year...last year I had no excuses I just had to own it!

I know, I know, it looks like I have crazy eyes in almost all of these pictures...this picture I'm pretty sure it's just because we are at the candy table.

Anyways it was such a fun night I'm so glad I have a husband who likes to go to the ball as much as I do, and great friends who make it even more of a blast!!

Baltimore Aquarium

This past weekend we went up and stayed overnight in DC with some of our favorite friends EVER Derek, Lara, and Jack and we had a total blast!

Friday night we drove to Baltimore to go to the National Aquarium, I didn't know what to expect and didn't have very high expectations but it was AWESOME we loved it, and the part that made it the best was how much Beck loved it!
Beck and his buddy Jack ran around like crazy men from exibit to exibit and went nuts with excitement at everyone of them. Beck would look at the fish, then turn around to me and Dane and point at the fish and go "ROAR!!! SCARY!!!"

We also went to the dolphin show which again I didn't expect much and was very pleasantly surprised at how sweet it was!! It was so fun!
After the aquarium we all drove to our hotel in DC thinking we would have a game night after the boys went to sleep - hah yeah right - but we had fun just hanging out together. And it's probably for the best anyway that me and Lara didn't spend the night dominating the boys (as usual) at marble wars cause that really would have put a damper on our temple trip the next day since I'm sure neither of the boys would have been over it yet.


Saturday morning Derek and Lara watched Beck while me and Dane went to the temple and then we watched Jack while they went. I love the DC temple and it was really nice and fun to be able to go together. Such a fun weekend!!

Bring on the warm weather!! We are finally having park days again!! YAY!!!
