Loving This

The second half of the 4th year of medical school is AWESOME!!  Dane's been home pretty much all day everyday lately and has hardly any studying to do!  At first it was wierd having him home watching me how I spend my days all day haha, but it didn't take long for me to get used to having his company and his help 24/7!  It's so awesome that we can take the kids to the park or just go grocery shopping together at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday.  The only down side to this is that it's going to be a slap in the face in a couple months when he starts residency right after we have a new baby!  But for now we are going to live it up and enjoy all this time we get to spend together since it probably won't happen again until he's 65.

Basketball

We signed Beck up for a basketball class that was once a week for 5 weeks.
When we showed up the first week I was worried I had signed him for for the wrong age group because he was at least a foot shorter than almost every other kid haha but it's for ages 4 - 6 and I think (and hope) that most of the kids in the class are 6 and he's barely 4.
He was so excited to go the first time, but after he got there it totally stressed him out that he couldn't do everything as good as some of the older kids and now he hates it!
Last time we ended up leaving early because he broke down into tears in the middle of class...which made me want to break down into tears to see him feel so bad about it!  Oh well, hopefully it goes better next week!

St Patty's Day

Jack - Beck - Lily - Ryler - Benson
I love our little holiday lunch's with friends.  It's such a fun and easy way to celebrate a holiday!

Quinn is 2!

Our baby girl turned 2 last week!
I am so in love with everything about my little girl!  She has thee cutest personality, I love how animated she is and how she gets so excited over the smallest things which made her birthday super fun because her reaction to everything was awesome!
Beck knew that technically it was Quinn's birthday but he still thought he got to open and play with all the presents before she did, it was a challenge to get any pictures of her opening her presents (but I got a ton of pictures of Beck trying to open her presents.)

The highlight of the day (and maybe a highlight of my life) was when the Olson's came over and Benson gave Quinn a bouquet of flowers...oh my gosh it was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Quinn was so excited she put her little hands on her knees and squealed when she saw Benson and then he gave her the flowers and hugged her and she kept saying this little high-pitched "thank you Benson!"

Quinn brings so much happiness to our family!!  She makes us smile and laugh all day everyday.  I don't think that little girls come any cuter than this one!
Love you Quinn Happy Birthday!

We are moving to....

MISSOURI

Once again I'm just so proud of Dane!!
He did his away rotation in Missouri last fall and loved the program and the people in the program, and luckily they must have liked him too because thats where he matched!

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty heartbroken that our time here in Virginia is coming to an end.  I love everything about Virginia - the trees, the weather, the ward, there are so many fun things to do close by, and most of all I love our friends out here.  The only thing Virginia doesn't have is family and that is one HUGE bonus that Missouri does have!  We will get to live by Dane's brother Trent and his family!  It's a huge relief to know we will have friends(/family).  We can't wait to see what adventures await our little family in Missouri!

HE MATCHED!!

DANE MATCHED FOR A RESIDENCY IN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY!!!

Ahh I can't even describe how excited, relieved, and most of all GRATEFUL that we feel that he matched to this residency that he wanted so much!!  We don't find out until Friday where we will be going for residency but honestly we are both so excited that he's in that we will be happy to go anywhere.

We found out on Monday that he matched and he screamed so loud when he saw the e-mail that I got a text from my friend Melissa who was outside across the street to tell us congratulations because she could hear it was good news haha.

I can't begin to describe how hard Dane has worked for this, I have spent the last 8 years of our marriage watching him successfully juggle being an incredible student, incredible husband, and incredible dad - he is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

A big thanks to our family and friends for their prayers and support we feel so blessed

Girly Girl?

The other morning Quinn got out her little tea set and set up all her babies at the table and had a tea party with them.  I told Dane over and over how cute I thought it was that she is just so girly, I have never had a tea party with her before so I was amazed that she just naturally did it all on her own.

Later that same day I walked into the kids bedroom to find Quinn playing with Beck's toy Rifle acting like she was shooting her Minnie Mouse doll.

A couple minutes later she came into my room holding her doll and a crocodile and was acting like the crocodile was eating the dolls head.

A couple minutes after that she picked up her doll by the foot and said "Ewww yuck she's poopy!" and threw her across the floor.

...so I'm thinking that "girly girl" is NOT the best way to describe Quinn, I spoke a little too soon that morning.
